Charter & Goals
27th April 2007: In early 2007 Wesley in the city undertook a goal setting process to involve the congregation in setting strategic goals that re-focused the ministry of this long serving central city church that has is looking fresh ways of engaging with its community.
Prior to undertaking the goal setting planning the minister and a key lay person undertook a City Church Study Tour of Adelaide, Canberra and Geelong for a week with three other ministers and lay people from those congregations along with the Presbytery mission facilitator Alan Dutton.
The ReportÀúBeing Church in 2007″ has proved to be a foundational document in guiding the congregation to fresh expressions of being a city church. Issues of hospitality, being sanctuary in the city and engaging with those who pass through our site have shaped our vision and goals.
The report “Being Church in 2007″ is available by contacting the office.
16th May 2007 the congregation unanimously accepted the Charter, Values and Goals.
