Nigel has arrived from Ireland and we look forward to his ministry - the commissioning will be held in the Hall in a coffee shop setting and will be children friendly.

Comunity Walkway / Forecourt Upgrade.
February 3rd, 2009Wesley ‘in the city’ has applied for approval from the Hobart City Council to create a community walkway and create a more people friendly forecourt to be used by our community. ‘Jam for Lunch’ folk music resumes Wed 28th Jan

Wednesdays, 12 noon - 2 pm at the Wesley Hall,
- Instrumentalists are invited to participate
- Visitors are invited to drop in and listen or feel free to dance
- Traditional acoustic music session
- Australian and old time American tunes, jigs, reels & waltzes from around the world
- Bring your lunch
- Complementary Fair Trade Coffee and Tea available
Presented by Wesley ‘in the city’ in association with the Folk Federation of Tasmania The traditional acoustic music session was initially set up by Terri Lukacko, an Appalchian- style fiddler who has since returned to the USA. Come join us to play an eclectic mix of traditional Tasmanian, Australian, and old time American tunes, as well as jigs, reels, and waltzes from around the world in a round robin format. Music notation will be available to share, and some tunes may be played by ear. Musicians of all skill levels are invited to join in. Listeners are welcomed to bring their lunch and welcome to ask questions and chat with the musicians.
Families Minister Emerging Church
January 14th, 2009New appointment to the team at Wesley ‘in the city.’
Nigel McBrien from the Methodist Church in Ireland will be joining the team at Wesley ‘in the city.’Â Nigel will work in this half time placement with our current minister David Parker in estabishing new forms of church and engaging with our community - with special focus on families and children. Â Nigel and his family are emergrating from Ireland and expect to join the team about April 1st 2009.
